Insomnia & Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorders affect millions of people and have a profound impact on mental and physical health. Insomnia — difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early — is the most common sleep disorder. It can be acute (lasting days or weeks) or chronic (lasting months or longer).

Poor sleep doesn't just make you tired. It affects your mood, concentration, memory, immune function, and overall quality of life. Chronic insomnia is also a risk factor for depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. The relationship between sleep and mental health is bidirectional — each affects the other.

At Nafs Wellcare, we treat sleep disorders using evidence-based approaches. CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) is the first-line treatment and is more effective long-term than sleep medication. We also address underlying conditions like anxiety or depression that may be disrupting your sleep, and can refer for sleep studies when appropriate.
